↑ Back to topLegal Bases for Processing
For individuals located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we process personal data only where we have a valid legal basis under Article 6 of the EU GDPR or the UK GDPR respectively:
- Contract performance. To process your booking, manage payments, communicate trip details, and deliver services you have requested.
- Legitimate interests. To analyze website usage, improve our services, prevent fraud, maintain site security, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, where these interests are not overridden by your data protection rights.
- Consent. Where you have explicitly agreed to receive marketing communications, to the use of non-essential cookies, or to the use of your data for advertising and retargeting purposes. You may withdraw this consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Legal obligation. To comply with applicable tax, accounting, anti-money laundering, and record-keeping requirements.
Where we process special category data (such as health and medical information), we rely on Article 9(2)(a) GDPR (explicit consent) or Article 9(2)(c) GDPR (vital interests) as appropriate.

↑ Back to topEmail, SMS & Telephone Communications
We send marketing and promotional emails only to individuals who have explicitly provided their email address for that purpose. All other emails, including booking confirmations, trip updates, and responses to inquiries, are sent to any valid address you supply in connection with doing business with us. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting privacy@voygr.com.
If you call us, we interpret your inbound call as consent to respond by phone or email as necessary to conduct or follow up on business. We do not place unsolicited marketing calls or send marketing text messages.
↑ Back to topCookies, Advertising & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on voygr.com to ensure the site functions correctly, understand how visitors use the site, deliver and measure advertising campaigns, and serve retargeted advertisements to past visitors. The following categories of cookies are in use:
| Category | Purpose | Can be declined? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Required for the website to function. Includes session management, security, and form continuity. | No — always active |
| Analytics | We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, including pages visited, session duration, and traffic sources. Data is anonymized where possible. | Yes — via cookie banner |
| Advertising & Retargeting | We use Google Ads to run paid search and display advertising campaigns. Google Ads cookies track conversions and, where consent is given, enable audience retargeting — meaning visitors to voygr.com may see Voygr advertisements on other websites and platforms. This involves sharing certain browsing data with Google for these purposes. | Yes — via cookie banner |
| Functionality | Remembers your preferences such as language or region settings to improve your experience on return visits. | Yes — via cookie banner |
You may decline advertising and retargeting cookies via our cookie consent banner when you first visit the site, or at any time via the Cookie Settings link in our site footer. Declining these cookies means you will not receive retargeted Voygr advertisements on other platforms, and your visit data will not be used for advertising purposes. It does not affect your ability to browse the site or make a booking.
You may also opt out of Google's use of cookies for advertising purposes by visiting adssettings.google.com, or opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly via the Digital Advertising Alliance (US) or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EU/UK).
For more detail on the specific cookies we use and how to manage them, see our Cookie Policy.
↑ Back to topData Sharing, Sub-Processors & International Transfers
We do not sell personal data to third parties. We do not share personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
When you consent to advertising and retargeting cookies, certain browsing and interaction data from voygr.com is shared with Google LLC for the purpose of delivering, targeting, and measuring Voygr's advertising campaigns. This may constitute "sharing" of personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). California residents have the right to opt out of this sharing — see Section 9 for details. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with any advertising platform under any circumstances.
- Service providers and sub-processors. We engage trusted third parties to deliver services on our behalf, including payment processors, accommodation and transport partners, email delivery platforms, and website analytics providers. These parties are contractually bound to process data only as instructed and to maintain appropriate security standards.
- Tour operators and travel agents. Where your booking has been made through a third-party operator or agent, we share your booking data with them to the extent necessary to coordinate your trip. Mobile opt-in data is never shared with operators or agents.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose personal data to authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Voygr, our guests, or others.
- Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to the same protections as described in this policy.
Voygr is a US-based company. When we receive personal data from individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, that data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We protect such transfers using the following mechanisms:
- EU residents. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR with any sub-processors located outside the EEA, including Google LLC.
- UK residents. We rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs for personal data originating in the United Kingdom, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Copies of the applicable transfer mechanisms are available on request by contacting privacy@voygr.com.
↑ Back to topData Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with applicable legal obligations. Our standard retention periods are:
| Data Category | Retention Period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Booking and payment records | 7 years from transaction | Tax and accounting obligations |
| Health and medical disclosures | 7 years from trip completion | Legal liability and insurance |
| Waiver and consent records | 7 years from trip completion | Legal liability |
| Account and inquiry records | 5 years after last interaction | Business relationship records |
| Marketing consent and opt-out logs | Until consent is withdrawn | CAN-SPAM, GDPR Article 7 |
| Advertising and retargeting data | Up to 540 days (Google Ads default audience window) | Ad campaign performance and retargeting |
| Website analytics data | 26 months (Google Analytics default) | Site improvement and security |
We review retention schedules annually and securely delete or anonymize data once the applicable retention period expires.

Analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and Google Ads use aggregated behavioral data to optimize campaign targeting, but do not make binding decisions about individual users. You may opt out of these tools via the cookie consent banner or via your advertising preferences at adssettings.google.com.
