Abdul Rashid

Abdul Rashid is a renowned snow leopard specialist, filmmaker, photographer, and Himalayan expert who works with Voygr. Hailing from a small village in Nubra Valley near the Indo-Chinese border, Rashid is fluent in eight languages. With a 20-year career as a mountain guide, he has successfully assisted clients in summiting some of the tallest peaks in Ladakh, including Nun & Kun, Saser, Chamser, Lingser, and Stok Kangri. His expeditions have taken him and his clients across the Himalayas.
In addition to leading snow leopard expeditions and private journeys throughout North India, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia, Rashid is a certified Advanced Mountaineer from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. His expertise extends to organizing logistics, location scouting, and fulfilling expeditionary requirements for various photography and filming clients. Rashid has worked with high-profile clients such as National Geographic and The Discovery Channel.
As a snow leopard photographer, Rashid uses both RED and Canon equipment to capture stunning images of these elusive creatures. He currently resides in Leh with his family and continues to lead expeditions and share his passion for snow leopard photography.
